“ATC” stands for “Artist Trading Card.” ATCs are super fun mini works of art that you and your friends can make and trade. Here’s how:
- Cut a 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch card. Size is important. You can buy the cards already cut, or cut them yourself from cardstock paper. (Click here to see a diagram.)
- Make it beautiful. Decorate or draw on the front of your ATC with colored pencils, crayons, markers, paints, magazine pages, or almost any craft supply you can think of – even objects you’ve found on a walk!
- Write your first name and the date on the back. You can also add a title and the URL of your blog if you’d like.
- Trade your ATCs! (But never sell them.)
Now that you know the rules, start designing your own ATCs with colored pencils, crayons, markers, paints, magazine pages, or almost any craft supply you can think of, even objects you’ve found on a walk!

Yeah, I agree! But guess what? Hayley just made a post and she said she wants to do a bunch of ATC trades this year! So you should definitely do those with us, and maybe we can trade there!

Cool! I make little works of art ALL THE TIME. My friends and I write letters all the time, and i send them. I didn’t know it was a “thing” though! (:

I am so curious…where did you heard about art trading cards? Amanda and I used to do a thing like that with friends at our old church, but I’ve never heard of anyone else doing it! We also put lines on the back for people to write their names on so you could see all the people who had owned a particular card.

I heard about it from Hayley’s blog, flourishingbyrestfulfalls.wordpress.com. Wow, did you really?! I didn’t know that! And I LOVE the idea of having lines on the back! Well hey, maybe we should start it up at this church! 🙂 Thanks for commenting!

Yes, you should! It’s a great blog, although she doesn’t post there very often.
Yay! That would be fun. We traded with our friends at our old church as well. 🙂
